Cacao contains serotonin and tryptophan, which boost mood and reishi calms the mind, promotes sleep, and soothes anxiety as it modulates cortisol levels.
I used to sell the Four Sigmatic Reishi Cacao Mix at the clinic and then I started playing around with my making my own mix. If you aren't sure about the ingredients I would buy the Four Sigmatic to try out before buying all the below ingredients. Sometimes I will add my Trumarine collagen to this tonic at night!
1 teaspoon roasted ground chicory root
1/2 cup milk of choice, heated
3/4 teaspoon reishi powder
1 tablespoon cacao powder
1 medjool date, pitted
a pink of himalayan pink salt
1. Steep the chicory root in 1/2 cup boiling water for 10 minutes.
2. Strain and add the chicory tea to a blender with the remaining ingredients.
3. Blend until smooth, then serve immediately.
